Thomas McEvoy is a Paraguayan-born British writer who has lived in several countries including Panama, Honduras, Ecuador, Japan, Canada, Spain, and England.

He recently completed a master's degree in Creative and Critical Writing at the University of Liverpool.

His short fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in The Pinch, J Journal: New Writing for Justice, Collateral Journal, The Ekphrastic Review, Scoundrel Time, and Libre.

In March 2025, he won the Shooter Flash monthly competition, and later that year he won the annual Southlands Arts Penning the Elements Short Story competition, featured in the Southlands Arts Anthology.

A Pushcart Prize nominee, he is currently working on a short story collection. He also volunteers as a reader for Epiphany and Flash Fiction Magazine.

Outside of fiction, Thomas writes for Boot Music as a music journalist, covering live shows and new releases from emerging artists across the North West. On his Substack, he writes about one of his other great loves: Liverpool Football Club.
